Butterscotch Brownies - 2 Maids a Baking

My mom always made these brownies for us when we were growing up.

They are a fav around here!

Start by melting your butter.

Add your brown sugar.

Remove from heat and stir in eggs.

Add salt and baking powder.

Mix in flour. I added 1/2 cup wheat flour and 1 cup white flour because my mom told me too!!

Last but not least add the vanilla.

Spread in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.

Bake and cut while still warm!

Butterscotch Brownies:
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and remove from heat. Stir in eggs, flour, salt, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Mix in walnuts if you like. Spread evenly in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake 25 minutes, do not over bake. Cut while warm.

Your brownies look like the perfect way to top off Farmgirl's Beef Brisket! I also included crusty bread in my post. It is super easy and so good!

Thanks for hosting 2 Maids a Baking and have a great day.
