Bucket Blogs

We were asked a few weeks ago if we wanted to participate in the "Bucket Blogs" and my answer was YES, YES, YES!!!!

Many thanks to Red Hill General Store for donating buckets to anyone who wanted to participate in the Real Farmwives of America & Friends group! They were gracious enough to mail each and every one of us a bucket. They are different shapes, sizes, and even different colors! And, the best part is - you can win a bucket too! The Real Farmwives of America & Friends are having a give-a-way on their website and one lucky reader will win a Galvanized Embossed Tub from Red Hill General Store.

So, I happen to love buckets! In fact, my hub laughs at me because I LOVE a new bucket. I just happen to have quite a few sitting around - inside, outside, here and there! So, this was a definite yes for me - I knew that I wanted a new bucket!!

My bucket arrived just a few days ago and I was really excited! It's fantastic - I got the 2.25 gallon oval tub. It's a great size to use outdoors as a planter or a centerpiece BUT since it is new - I decided to use it 'in the home' for now and save 'in the garden' for later!!

I asked my kids to think about how they would use this tub and I got anywhere from a hat to a toy tractor bin, to a baby bathtub and even to a shoe! (You know who said that!!)

So, I thought about ways I could use my tub and quite frankly - I thought of a lot of them! Since I haven't had a whole lot of time with my new tub, I've only tried a couple so far...

I loaded it with fruit and took it to a picnic over the weekend! It was the perfect size and a great addition to an outdoor BBQ.

Then, I washed it out and decided to use it as a craft tub. We are currently re-doing our toy / craft room so I thought it would make a great addition to that room! My girls were SO excited to see this new tub in their room!

In fact, my kiddos will be using this tub for a project tomorrow - stay tuned!!

While Red Hill General Store did provide me with a bucket to blog about for this post, the pictures, ideas and opinions shared here are my own.

  5. I love the fruit tub idea! I have a larger, round tub that I like to use as a beverage cooler when we have BBQs.
