I cheated on my hair stylist

I admit it...

I felt/feel really guilty.

I have only been going to her for 12 years...

She even traveled 2 hours on a holiday to do my hair for my wedding and brought her mom to help with the wedding party... I know i'm a horrible person...

From this..

to this...

side view
I felt so bad I even text a friend who also goes to the same hair stylist... it went something like this..

Liz "I'm getting my haircut down here...I feel like I'm cheating on Gretchen...
Alicia "Ummm I'm telling"
Liz "Haha... I didn't highlight it... it was bad and I had too...
Alicia "I just found ___ confetti on my floor while cleaning (to fill ___ in think of something you might see at a bachelorette party)
Liz " Yeah, I just found some in my make-up bag...thanks Rach!
Alicia "Nice"

It didn't feel right...

I knew I shouldn't...

I only let her trim it...

I now live an hour and a half away from the salon...

I know there isn't an excuse...

I confessed...

She forgave me...

And highlighted my hair...and cut over 4 inches off...

It's the shortest it has been in over 8 years...

Hopefully it is short enough that the calves won't lick and suck on it...

Calf slobber is like bad hair gel...

Back to my hair...

It looks pretty...

I will show you a picture soon...

I'm not alone right...

You understand...?!?

  2. I LOVE this post! I know what you mean because I moved an hour and a half away from my old stylist and had to find a new one. I felt guilty and horrible for weeks.

  3. Ditto! I just couldn't drop and go to the big town once the girls were here, so I did have to find someone closer to do my hair. I miss Stephanie though! I so know that sad feeling of betrayal! Glad all is well now! ;-)

  5. As a former hairdresser, it was always OK for one of my clients to try someone else....especially if they moved away. Plus, sometimes change is a good thing. I'm sure your hairdresser totally understands:)
Can't wait to see the new 'do'!

  7. Well you DID confess so I think you're okay. [inserts stern finger wag] but you probably don't want to let it happen again missy!"

It's never wise to ostracize the person who waves scissors around your face ;)

  8. It seems you always go back, you just get used to what that stylist does.

  9. My stylist gave me my first haircut so I have been going to her for 25 years now. I would feel horrible if I cheated on her, but you gotta do what you gotta do!
