I felt/feel really guilty.
I have only been going to her for 12 years...
She even traveled 2 hours on a holiday to do my hair for my wedding and brought her mom to help with the wedding party... I know i'm a horrible person...

Liz "I'm getting my haircut down here...I feel like I'm cheating on Gretchen...
Alicia "Ummm I'm telling"
Liz "Haha... I didn't highlight it... it was bad and I had too...
Alicia "I just found ___ confetti on my floor while cleaning (to fill ___ in think of something you might see at a bachelorette party)
Liz " Yeah, I just found some in my make-up bag...thanks Rach!
Alicia "Nice"
It didn't feel right...
I knew I shouldn't...
I only let her trim it...
I now live an hour and a half away from the salon...
I know there isn't an excuse...
I confessed...
She forgave me...
And highlighted my hair...and cut over 4 inches off...
It's the shortest it has been in over 8 years...
Hopefully it is short enough that the calves won't lick and suck on it...
Calf slobber is like bad hair gel...
Back to my hair...
It looks pretty...
I will show you a picture soon...
I'm not alone right...
You understand...?!?

I LOVE this post! I know what you mean because I moved an hour and a half away from my old stylist and had to find a new one. I felt guilty and horrible for weeks.
ReplyDeleteDitto! I just couldn't drop and go to the big town once the girls were here, so I did have to find someone closer to do my hair. I miss Stephanie though! I so know that sad feeling of betrayal! Glad all is well now! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe always go back to our first loving hairdresser...
ReplyDeleteAs a former hairdresser, it was always OK for one of my clients to try someone else....especially if they moved away. Plus, sometimes change is a good thing. I'm sure your hairdresser totally understands:)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the new 'do'!
this is soooo funny! i am cheating on my stylist today also...and my husband made fun of me and made me feel bad! too funny on the timing of your post.
ReplyDeleteWell you DID confess so I think you're okay. [inserts stern finger wag] but you probably don't want to let it happen again missy!"
ReplyDeleteIt's never wise to ostracize the person who waves scissors around your face ;)
It seems you always go back, you just get used to what that stylist does.
ReplyDeleteMy stylist gave me my first haircut so I have been going to her for 25 years now. I would feel horrible if I cheated on her, but you gotta do what you gotta do!
